The MPX 165.3 speaker set differs from other coax speakers on the market. A high output soft dome tweeter is built right into the center of the woofer magnet, accomplishing these essential things:
- All sound originates from the same point for a much smoother transition between high and low frequencies.
- It uses the woofer cone to complete a more significant horn flare, increasing the high-frequency output. The lower frequency limit of the tweeter is extended, allowing for bolder sound in the vocal range.
- Locating the tweeter in the center of the woofer eliminates having to find a place to discover the tweeter on the bike's fairing.
